Fiction... I think it goes beyond simply getting Goodson getting more touches. I think it takes both the Oline and all the running backs going to win out rather than one man getting more touches.

Don't know. There are too many other factor that play into football wins or losses.

Besides the touches, what else do RB's do? They block, pick up blitzes. That takes an eventual toll on a body. 20 touches with a good O-Line, or rather a consistent O-Line, would give Iowa a punchers chance at more wins, not necessarily win out. Just my $.02

Would likely never happen because Kirk would bring in Toren to run out clock, if we were winning.

I mean it's not that simple but if Goodson touches the ball 20 times more than likely that means Iowa is winning. Iowa has won every game where he's run the ball at least 10 times (3-0).

So I'll go against the grain and say YES, Iowa wins out if Goodson gets at least 20 touches per game (I'm assuming you meant per game, not 20 total touches).

Am I the only person not understanding all the love for Goodson? Is he really all that much better than Sargeant, Young or IKM?

I see flashes of potential. I have not seen enough to justify Goodson getting 20 carries a game and the others getting squat.

Wisconsin's D will focus on shutting down any run game. If our WRs cannot get separation in that one will be a long day.

Goodson is really good and has more promise than any other back we have, however, being since right now he doesn't have the power of shonn greene, the elusiveness of akrum wadley or the vision of fred Russell, I think the back by committee is our best option. I think Tyler gives us a big boost after defenses are used to mekhi because he is quicker and gives us some juice. Just my thoughts.

On a side note, I wish we could run toren at fullback some with Goodson the tailback. Brady is a good fullback as far as blocking, but he is no run or pass threat, whereas Toren would be. Would help the running game I think because right now when we run out of the I, both Nate and brady are zero threats to the defense. By having toren and tyler in the backfield, both can run and both can catch. Add LaPorta (our best playmaking tight end) and nico and ISM, we can do a lot of things and add a lot of weapons on the field.
