Excuses for today's performance

Injuries, Purdue's much improved, the crowd..... what will Captian Kirk say today if/when Iowa has yet another disappointing performance against perennial bottom dweller Boilermaker team?

Blah, blah, blah.... oh what I would give for an old fashioned beat down of this crappy team.

Yeah, the long road trip after the hard fought game last week meant the team just didn't come out ready to play. Purdue is motivated and they had a good gameplan, their coach always has their players ready to play and they hit hard. West Lafayette is where Big Ten West Division Title dreams go to die.....

21-0 Iowa. Purdue is bad. Now at 8 min to go in 2nd quarter, purdue is moving the ball....sort of.

Iowa's offense looks like Iowa's offense. Not much else I can say. CJB has missed a few open targets but hit a couple too

I was disappointed in play calling in the second half when Iowa had a big lead. Also, the second stringers played like second stringers.

Does 8 man football even have JV, there Bobby Joe Bubba??? LOL!!! And if they do (which they don't you stupid f*** or the wouldn't BE playing 8-man football) , have you EVER seen one of their games so that you can make a comparison???LOL.... It's hilarious to 'us' that you think your being 'clever' but you just keep convincing us that you're an absolute troglodyte!!! Tell us more, mro lympia, lol..............

Just so you know, 8 man football teams are playing 8 man football because of their school enrollment, not their roster size. They could have 11 kids out for football (i.e. not enough for a JV) or they could be like Don Bosco, Gilbertville here in Iowa, who historically has anywhere from 35-50 kids on their roster (plenty for a JV).

Carry on...

Iowa did a good job in what was essentially a scrimmage. Iowa dominated Purdue for 3 quarters then they put their backups in getting some good game play for next year's players. That being said.

Iowa left a lot of points on the field. CJ over threw some passes. He still isn't the same player as last year. Akrum and Leshun, what can you say? They deliver! The offensive line looked good for the most part. One sack was a glaring mistake. Penalties. Way too many. Iowa can play a perfect game against Wisconsin next week and still lose by a couple of touchdowns. Penalties will turn next weeks game into a major butt whoopin. Over all the offense did it's job.

The defense gave up some plays. Purdue's receivers would have had career days if Blough could have got them the ball. Part of his lack of accuracy was due to the pressure by Iowa's defense. Iowa's coverage was great at times and other times lacking. Overall good defensive day.

Please cut down on the usage of "LOL".
#1. It is a dead give away as far as your age. Early teens? Early teens usually do not hang out with college football coaches.
#2. Every post is not laugh out loud funny so do not end every post with LOL

I will not go as far as to single out players for bad play, it is obvious that Iowa has quite a few guys starting that are marginal D-1 players. That is on Ferentz and not the players. I am sure they are busting their asses.
