Friday's first bball game or footba teams opportuntity to become bowl elgible?

I'm a basketball guy but I'm going football for this one.
 
Probably the football game as lowly this game is on a national scale, Iowa fans will be watching this one with great interest. If Iowa loses this game, oh boy...........
 
bball for sure ... who gives a rip about the toilet bowl we'll get?

and if we can't beat purdue, KF should be fired before he gets back into Central Time
 
Im a fan of coaches that dont quit with 5 minutes left.....sooooo Im looking forward to the basketball game.
 
I wonder how everybody will feel if we screw up and lose to Purdue. I just hope our guys come out mad and play with some heart. GO HAWKS!
 
I LOVE basketball. I'm really excited for the season.......but football is still king, so I am still more exited for the Saturday game. Now if we lose to Purdue..........no I can't think about that.
 
Football, but basketball is going to be awesome when we get to the battle 4 Atlantis. IMO, that tourney will define the success for the season. A finals appearance against Kansas presumably would be so beneficial for B1G play.
 
About 3-4 years ago, this would definitely have been a much different answer, but right now, it's basketball without a doubt. Not that tonight's hoops game will probably be all that thrilling, but I'm far more pumped about Hawkeye hoops these days. They should have a good team.

I love both Hawkeye basketball and football, but I grew up a hoops fan first and foremost.
 
Football. By far. The basketball team had a deep run in the Tournament last year and it is already a foregone conclusion we will have another one this year. This football team has two superstar young QBs and is otherwise young all around (other than at LB). Each 5 extra practices this season will add another win to next year's total and have us back to BCS or prime NYD Bowl by next season, so I think these next 3 games might be among the most important games of the Ferentz era.

Feel about the same way. I got tickets to tonight's game. 220 mile drive one way. I have been to 6 of last 7 bowl games but am making other plans this year.

Unfortunately I'm about 1500 miles away, so best I can hope for is that someone finds an illegal stream (no, I don't really want to pay for streaming that works poorly, if at all). If I was in the area, I would consider going.
