ESPN's Gruden's QB Camp - Pryor Tonight 8 CT

They should record him pulling up to the interview so we all can see his new wheels.

Doubt it will have dealer plates this time.

you know, i'm willing to bet he knows leaps and bounds more than newton. he had several years in a fairly pro-style offense. newton hasn't even dreamed of that kind of experience. now, as far as potential goes, newton is far ahead, but i don't think he'll come across as unknowledgeable as old scammie did.

You are assuming he can put together a coherent sentence, and that is a rather large assumption.

I am looking forward to watching this as well. I think Pryor has all the athletic ability in the world. I just wonder whether or not he has the ability to lead a large group of professional football players. I question whether or not he can earn their trust and respect. They have shown some short clips of his interview with Gruden already. He is actually completing his sentences pretty well, but he seems a little intimidated. Gruden is a pretty intense guy but if he can't look confident in a one on one conversation with him then I wonder how he can in front of an entire NFL team.

don't get me wrong, i don't think he's smart, and he obviously has pretty poor judgment, but you don't have to be articulate to be a good QB. i don't think he has any real shot at being a QB in the NFL though. he might have loads of natural talent, but he has no intangibles. not even half the leader that scam appears to be.

Nor half the qb skills of scammie. Pryor is not a qb in the NFL, if the league ever opens up shop again.

All I think about w/Pryor is his cheating arse running for a first down to beat the Hawkeyes. Screw him (yes I'm bitter)!

Gruden is a blast to listen to. He's full of football knowledge and his enthusiasm for the game is hard to find. If Ferentz ever leaves he would be my #1 choice for a replacement even though it would probably never happen. Other than that scenario, I would rather not see him coach anywhere else because I like what he adds to ESPN as an analyst. He is entertaining and interesting at the same time.

it seemed slyly condescending and pryor had no idea.

Agree 100%, Pryor could have diffused Grudens obvious disdain for him by saying 'hey look i know what you're hinting at and I want assure everyone that I am a stand-up guy who made a mistake'.

Now since he did nothing of the sort and probably just read the prepared statement given to him by Drew Rosenhaus it is obvious to me, as it was during his first two years at OSU where they would not let him speak to anyone without a handler, that he is a lot like Shoeless Joe Jackson in that he probably is barely literate and has no clue what is going on in the world around him, but has an athletic gift. A gift that is probably not going to translate to big bucks in the NFL so he needed to cash in whatever markers he was given the second he acquired them. At least OSU did teach him how to utter phrases and annunciate, but its probably a fact that too many HS Athletes come out barley literate, look at R.Coe same story as a pitcher i knew who picked up scholly attention, got an 18 on his ACT and had to go the JuCo route after never being taught anything by the public school system, the guy was dumber than a bag of hammers and ended up getting kicked out of college for too much raping.

Anyone remember this little gem from TP, I'm sure he's a borderline half-wit?

Brian Rolle saved the day with his intercepted two-point conversion, but unfortunately he couldn't save Pryor from a disastrous postgame interview where he tried to explain his face tribute to Philadelphia's backup quarterback.

"Not everybody's the perfect person in the world. I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever. I think that people need a second chance, and I've always looked up to Mike Vick, and I always will."

Ha ha! Almost forgot about that. Yeah, he dumb. ......that makes me sad.

I wonder how many college football players know the words to their schools fight song... Pryor admitted he didn't know the words to OSU's, and he also said he "used" to remember all the words to their victory song. That seemed a little strange to me.

I also like how Gruden showed a couple of the amazing/lucky passes Pryor completed, and then proceeded to ask him if he was actually throwing it to the receiver who caught the ball or if he was just throwing it up for grabs. Of course Pryor said he was throwing it to the receiver but Gruden kept calling him out and telling him he was lying haha.
