Overall health report for each BCS team - ESPN

Here is the rating scale he uses...

5: Consistent winner with potential to be BCS bowl contender every season
4: Potential to join the sport's elite in the near future
3: Recent mediocre results but seems to be building momentum
2: Recent success but seems to be headed in wrong direction
1: Below-average program with little success in past or future

He gives Iowa a 3 which based on the way last season went I can understand. I don't know if he did this last year too but I'm assuming we would have been a 4 after the orange bowl win. Other teams of note. He gives ISU a 2 rating and Wiscy a 4 rating. Somebody needs to knock Wiscy off of their high horse this year.

I would say based on how terrible ISU was with Chizik and how they've been in contention for bowls the last 2 years, ISU would be heading in the right direction. They probably never will be elite, but I would like to see them be consistently making bowl games each year.

Other 3's:
Baylor, KSU, Texas Tech, Louisville, S. Florida, Syracuse.
I stopped there. This whole thing is a joke.

According to this he is taking the past 40 gmaes for Mizzou into account??
This makes alot of sense.

Missouri
Rating: 4
Gary Pinkel has guided the Tigers to unprecedented success, winning 40 games over the last four seasons and going to six straight bowl games. The only things missing: A Big 12 championship and BCS bowl game.

Those ratings are a bunch of garbage. And I would be saying that even if he gave the Hawks a 5.

That's worthless. Not enough categories, the description of the rating system doesn't always fit with the rankings, and some of the placements are pretty questionable.

Hell, this isn't even worth talking about. His categories don't fit Iowa or Iowa State let alone most of the rest of the BCS. Iowa has won 3 straight bowl games and has had substantial success in the two years preceding this one so it gets a 3. then there's Texas. They were awful a year ago so that merits them a 4. The whole Big 12 is stuck on 4 especially if you throw Nebraska back into their mix. This may be one of the worst designed and implemented analysis I have seen.
