The latest ESPN mock draft has Uthoff going to Golden State. That would be pretty sweet if this happened and he could stick. Would love to see JU play with the Warriors!

Utoff is having a fantastic season. He is an athletic wing who can shoot the ball from deep and block shots. He's a really dynamic player who should fit well in the Warriors' system.

Interesting...I told my son earlier this season that Golden State's style of play fits Uthoff perfectly. And Uthoff would fit in perfectly with the guys currently on the team. My son has been a Warriors fan for years. He will go crazy when I mention this...even though it's not even speculation yet at this point.

He'll have to finish the season better than this to get there. If he and the team continue to collapse, he'll be on an NBDL roster in Bakersfield.

A big guy who can hit the long ball seems like a really good fit for the Warriors. It definitely wouldn't hurt for Jared to practice every day with the 2 best shooters in the NBA.

I doubt it. Bryce Dejean-Jones averaged 10.5 points and 4.7 rebounds last year for Iowa State. He shot 47.6% from the field, 32.9% from 3 and 72.2% from the line. And he was a nut job. He signed a 3 year deal with the Pelicans a couple of weeks ago.

Uthoff averages 18.5 points and 6.4 rebounds. He's shooting 44.8% from the field, 39.9% from 3 and 81.0% from the line. And he blocks 2.7 shots per game.

I always thought Uthoff would fit in well with either Golden a State or Dallas. GS would probably be the best fit though.

Some things just make sense. Without looking at any numbers this just makes sense... He could come off the bench to give Barnes & or Greene breaks. Uthoff would hit the jackpot if this were to happen as far as finding a fit/system for him and being on a good team. When you think about what GS will be drafting for (if nobody gets hurt bad or leaves) it makes so much sense. They aren't going to be looking for a starter caliber player even. Just a difference maker off the bench that can run, defend, hit shots in transition from deep and just cause mismatches on the floor. It almost makes too much sense...

lol NBDL roster hahaha what you smoking bud. Uthoff Ticket is punched barring an injury!

Imagine if golden state also gets Durant which is the current rumor. Uthoff would get a lot of minutes just from the sheer amount of blowouts

I believe Harrison Barnes has another year on his contract before he starts chasing big money elsewhere. JU ain't going to Golden St. unless there is a viable roster spot for him.

Hate to pee in your guys' Cheerios, but no matter where he gets drafted Uthoff is going to be captain of the Kazakhstan Goat Ropers of the Falafel Ball League for 3 or 4 years until he gets sick of no running water or his soon to be wife tells him to come back to the States. Book it. 3/1/16

This is no different than Aaron White or Mitch King. Hawk fans got blinded by light and thought those guys were going to be big fish in the big pond without being objective about their abilities compared to other players.

Peter Jok though...

That guy will play big boy ball some day.

I actually think JU can play in today's NBA. It's less physical, and he can score. I think he will fit in nicely if he doesn't have to be the star. He looks worn down now, like he can no longer carry the team. That won't be his role in the NBA. He has the potential to be a decent bench player.

If he finds the right system and works his *** off, he could be a role player. He's athletic for Iowa but compared to NBA forwards he's probably way in over his head.

Disagree. He is basically Teyshaun Prince minus confidence, mental toughness. Teyshaun Prince has played a 100 years in the league with basically the same skill set JU has now

They sign Durant...meaning Bogut and Barnes are gone. This opens up a spot for a rookie role player that could develop into something more. Of course this entire thread is based on 1 mock draft...but it's fun to discuss anyway.

He still has room to grow as far as physical strength. I agree with this post mostly^

A tall lanky big guy that can shoot threes and has a long career in the league. Let me see if I can think of anyone....... Lohaus?

Jarrod is going to have to start playing better if he hopes to play anywhere. He has gotten more defensive attention and doesn't know how to deal with it.
