ESPN midseason review of IOWA

I'm surprised ESPN wrote something about college football that didn't have to do with USC, Notre Dame, or Tebow

Let's really give ESPN and the nation something to talk about, the Hawks winning a national championship! Let's face it, we Hawk fans are "biased" towards our beloved Hawks. I understand why the rest of the nation does not have the love for the Hawks, but they can't ignore us once we win it all!

Nice read. I don't suppose ESPN gives this guy a lot of airtime.
The analysts who don't exclusively cover Florida, Texas and USC get lots of camera time. ESPN just doesn't have the heart to tell those guys that their cameras aren't plugged in.

Rittenberg - Iowa's Second-Half Outlook

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg - Second-Half Outlook: Iowa

Best-case scenario: The Hawkeyes win out and blow out a few teams along the way. Texas and USC stumble, clearing the path for Iowa to meet the SEC champion in the BCS title game. Stanzi takes care of the football and the only key interceptions are the ones the Hawkeyes' defense continues to make.

Worst-case scenario: Iowa drops both of its remaining road games and slips up once at home. Stanzi relapses and starts throwing picks again, and the defense wears down or gets hurt. Still, the Hawkeyes end up in a Jan. 1 bowl in Florida.

Prediction: BCS bowl (not saying which one). Iowa drops one of its remaining road games but wins the rest.

If Iowa wins out it doesn't matter what USC does. No way in hell an undefeated Iowa gets jumped by a USC team that lost to mediocre Washington. It will not happen.

Now go kick Sparty's ***.

Amen on kickin' Sparty's @$$ - and I'll take Best Case Scenario for $1,000 Alex..... :)

I'll go for the Best Case Scenario (you notice that is also initialed BCS?) anyday, too. Herky's going to kick Sparty like the Persians did to the 300 (that is before they eventually got their butts handed to them by the Athenians).
