ESPN is Churning Out the Hawkeye Love

Whammer

I am being realistic

Nite game in the desert .. probably ranked top 10

Revenge game vs one of the Stoops boys ....

THIS GAME WILL DEFINE THE SEASON

we ain't playing St Ambrose Univ partner

remember Tate and company out in that neck of the woods?

I think we got blasted 44-7 ....

ONE GAME AT A TIME

for the players it is one game at a time. as fans, we have the right to hold high hopes and get excited for a season.

this isn't drew tate's team anymore. we are a different team with a different mentality and a whole lot more talent around our QB.

YOUR reality may be a loss in arizona...my reality is at least a 14 point win

Whammer you are exactly right. These one game at a time fans like Doc just sound stupid. The team and coaches will keep the perspective on one game at a time, but as fans we get to revel in the idea that we can win it all and play for the big one. That's how every season should start and it will keep going that way until we do get beat (which won't be at Arizona).

Also, what the heck does the game against AZ State have to do with this one? Completely different situation. Different schools, different players, different venue, it's not even close to the same. I guess you could make a case for the time and it's the same state, but come on. Quit being a mamby pamby!!!

Agreed, a game 6 years ago has no impact on what will happen this year. Iowa lost @ Michigan that season, does hat mean we can't beat Rich Rod in the Big House this year?

I'm confident that Kirk Ferentz is NOT going to let what happened at ASU happen again. I'm confident that he will have the team acclimated to the time and weather change for this year's trip; much like he changed the way his teams prepare for bowl games after the USC Orange Bowl game.

Lesson learned. Adjustments made.

Oh... and have I forgot to mention it's going to be EXTREMELY difficult to move the ball (let alone score points) against the Iowa defense?

:)

The pressure on this years players has to be astronomical... this season could change the entire landscape for iowa football on a national scale
