Found this on the front page of ESPNs Mens Basketball. May have been posted elsewhere, but I didn't see it. I felt it was a pretty fair representation of the situation as long as people read the story.

I agree, fair piece. Certainly the scrutiny will be there all season. Road arenas will be brutal. Anthony, Fran, the team and Hawkeye fans will need to get used to it.

Of course it was a fair piece; Eamonn Brennan always writes fluff pieces for his Hawkeyes. That said, it was a terribly written article.

I wonder when the blog guys will learn to write quickly and well. You really do just see a lot of bad writing. I can understand the need to get out some information quickly, so you might indicate that your sources might not have gone through a full vetting process, or that you are reporting an unsubstantiated claim, but that shouldn't excuse bad writing.
