You're using too small of a sample size. When one conference is 5-0 in BCS title games.... is making their 5th straight BCS title game appearance... and is shooting for their 5th straight BCS title I'd say their the best conference.

You can wiggle and waggle how you wish... The SEC is the best conference in college football hands down and it's not even close.

OSU (the best Big Ten team) is a good matchup against Arkansas (the 2nd or 3rd best SEC team).

Do you think OSU could hang with Auburn?

I agree they cheat but this argument isnt about cheating...who has the best football teams? Its the SEC right?

So 5 games is a good sample size? Before this year wasnt the Big Ten and SEC virtually tied in head to head matchups give or take a game over the last 3 years?

5 games when they are the national title games is a pretty good sample size dont you think?

If the Big Ten had 5 straight BCS champs (assuming they werent all OSU) wouldnt you think that was enough to consider the Big Ten the premiere conference?

All I'm saying is that the national title streak (particularly when they work the system with oversigning) isn't indicitive of overall conference strength. That's not to say the SEC isn't the best (it is), but the title streak isn't why. And Auburn is where they are because they have a player who shouldn't even be on the field right now. Without Newton, that team is 10-2 at the very best.

Has the SEC had the Best team in college football for the 5 out of the last 7 years? Sure, no doubt about that, but one team does not make the conference head and shoulders better than the others.

Why does the SEC have a losing bowl record if they are so invincible?

And what are those teams cheating at? The actual game? No. The cheating is VERY relevant, because that's a very important factor in the overall talent level down there.

70 teams make bowl games and 7 or 8 from each conference....as I stated earlier I dont care how Tennessee or Michigan did in their bowl games. What are the overall BCS records by conference over the last 5 years? I dont have the energy to look it up
