ESPN Chopping Block Hopeful

If we could get just 10,000 Hawkeye fans to each donate $20, that money along with her salary would probably save ESPN close to half a million dollars to make sure Beth Mowins is on the list of shit-canned announcers. I realize she might already be on it, but the extra insurance would be worth it.

I'm in, guys. Come on and pony up.

I'm not a Beth Mowins fan by any means, but I can't "wish" or "hope" for someone to lose a job when, essentially, they have done nothing wrong and showed and gave their best effort. Should she be calling other sports and not college football? Maybe.

But for her to have to look for a job because of top-heavy, agenda-driven ESPN losing subscribers kinda sucks.

As to the comments about social commentary, look no further than how BTN handled the whole PSU affair. Insightful, objective and, when needed, relying on outside expertise as far as opinions on legal/employment/law-enforcement aspects of the situation.

If Keith Olbermann had tried his shtick on BTN during that time, Griffith and DiNardo would have crushed him into the studio carpet.

BTN really does have top-notch personnel, their decision to discontinue JDMs version of "his" show notwithstanding. Hell, they expected JDM to "carry" LaCharles Bentley. Like THAT was doable?
