Epenesa odds

What are the odds of Epenesa being drafted in the first round?

50/50?

How would you place your money, with such odds?

In one way, I am not too concerned where he goes. It probably just impacts on who gets the best deal on him, since he is going to be a very successful player in the NFL. I know he will get less money up front if he slips to the second round. But he will end up a multi millionaire in any event. Geez. How much is enough?

I think a lot of it depends on if there is a run on DE or not. In mocks I've seen, He's about 70/30 in the 1st round.

It's always better to go early, since you get more guaranteed money. Getting 10M guaranteed, then blowing out a knee is far better than 500K guaranteed, then blowing out a knee.

50/50. His combine performance killed him. His tape is still great though. I've seen a couple of mocks with him in the second.

I would put money on the second round. But wherever he goes I hope he excels and makes Iowa look to be a great place to play. Cheap recruiting. Maybe Rams or Packers! Hopefully not to Detroit, where NFL dreams go to die.

I'm a Rams fan so hope he goes there. I saw two mocks today that have him going in the 2nd, albeit one of them was the first pick of the second.

A less than advertised combine.

Not an "every play" guy at Iowa.

Those are two big Matzah Balls for teams that need to get it "right" in the first round.

I was watching the NFL Network this morning and they had AJ going 23rd to the Patriots. They said that Belichick's prototype DE is a big guy with good hands, good production, and is a hard worker. They said that he was a perfect fit for the Pats and there isn't a good enough plug-and-play QB worth taking that would beat out Stidham. They said that Belichick always picks the best player available that's a perfect fit for his team. As always, take it for what it's worth.

AJE to the Patriots is definitely picking up steam. What you just stated, plus KF's relationship with Belichek has a lot of the so called "draft experts" saying he will land there.
