Epenesa named player of game

He made one good play. Otherwise he looked gassed and very slow to the football, losing the edge a time or two. What the heck gives?
 
When you don’t have an Anthony Nelson on the other side to take some pressure off you, this is what happens...
 
Seems like he’s a step slow all year. I usually watch him on defense because hes fun to watch. But he doesn’t seem like he has that fire he has last year. And the double/triple team thing doesn’t happen as often as you think. Sometimes he will get chipped, but teams are lining up 1 on 1 with often.

Maybe. He's played himself out of the first round at this point. Jackson isn't even on the radar of the first few rounds. Wirfs is the only one who has a good chance at being taken in the first round.

Iowa had 2 guys leave early last year to be 4th round picks. Josh Jackson left early 2 years ago and he's barely hanging on to a roster spot in GB. It wouldn't surprise me to see Iowa lose 5 or 6 guys early this year.

Nelson had been in the program for 4 years and already graduated. I believe Hooker had graduated as well but I can't remember for sure. Jackson was projected to be a late 1st/early 2nd round pick. That's a good reason to go especially after seeing King plummet the year before.
 
He hasn't looked good at all. He is very slow off of the snap and looks like he's in terrible shape compared to the guys around him.
 
How these guys perform at the combine plays a huge role in how they are rated by teams on draft boards. AJ won’t go into the NFL as an every down guy. He will be a 3rd down edge rusher to start Just like he was at Iowa last year and go from there.

Chauncey has been the better player all year.

Dolph and Eddie I guess that says something about our play by play guys.. They just ranted about him in the post game interview? I listen to them during the game and often wonder if they are watching the same game. I think its time for a lot of changes around Iowa football
 
Makes you wonder if it was sarcasm.

Other than one splash play he was nonexistent, and, no, he wasn't constantly double-teamed.
