Epenesa Declares

But they haven’t through history (ferentz history). And iowa has never had trouble pulling in tight ends as that’s what is grown in the Midwest. But he absolutely never gets skill players to any degree and that’s the separation between ho hum iowa and real teams that play in high level bowl games and win them annually along with playing outside their state borders in September
You just can't quit me, can you.

Back with more moronic bullshit. I'll be honest, I thought you retreated to your trailer for good and almost got a little sad.

Just remember, he has two little brothers..........

"Little" being the operative word. Neither are anywhere near AJs height or build.

True this pic was from prior to his freshman year. Kids grow a lot in 4 yrs or so... I Haven't heard anything on the younger brothers recently enough to say if they are going to be D1 material at anything or not. Needless to say if they are or will be they'll be on Iowa's radar.

Met them while tailgating at NW game. The older one has some height, maybe 6'1" or so. The younger is a couple inches shorter. I would be shocked if either is more than 175 or 180.

The youngest one is 12, the middle one is a 2020 class kid, 170 lbs, no star ratings from either of the services. Has offers from Butler and NW Missouri State. I'm sure he's a great athlete and a super high-character kid, but he's probably not P5 material.

As I've said before, this is a great thing for the Iowa Hawkeye Football team.

It's literally impossible to buy publicity this good. When was the last time Iowa had 4 first rounders taken in a two year period?

Never.

Most popular player in the NFL by a mile? A Hawkeye TE.

Top two TEs taken in the draft and the first time two have ever been taken? Hawkeyes.

Freshman TE busting out in the 2nd half of the season looking like TJ and Fant, showing recruits that the TE train ain't slowing down? A Hawkeye.

Two potential first rounders again on the OL and DL? It's a good time to be where we're at folks. AJ and Tristan, go get that money and make sure you @ those recruits on Twitter.

It is a great thing for the Iowa program but not nearly as great as if the 4 guys who left early last year had stayed for 2019 and Iowa won the B1G West and maybe more.

Also not nearly as great if AJ and Wirfs stuck around to give Iowa possible the best OL & DL in the conference next season with Stone manning the back end.

Until I see the recruits coming in currently from all this good publicity bring a division championship to Iowa City, losing these guys early to the pros is a net loss for the program and its not even close.

Man, we really could have used some "Hartlieb magic" out of that family.

AJ told me that his youngest brother was tracking ahead of him in terms of growth and development. He's on course to be another high-recruit, those these things can change.

Rob, did AJ and his brothers play youth tackle ball?

Amen, brother.

Ask USC how much of a skill player ISM isn't.

And don't give me any babble about how this wasn't a vintage USC team. Before we played them people were touting them as a blue blood with an endless supply of four and five star skill position recruits. After we played, and dismantled them, da haterz were backpedaling and saying the QB got knocked out and blah, blah, blah.

We took on a legit top twenty five team and shoved it up their ass. Deal with it.

We played a legit schedule. Deal with that as well.

Our offense isn't free wheeling enough for you. I get that. That's OK, there's plenty of offense in the Big 12 for you to be a fan of.

Oh, wait....

I think Eppy had them padded up as soon as they could play.

I've seen some footage of the youngest playing ball on Eppy's FB page.

He looks like a man among boys. And I know that's cliche, but it's accurate.

That kid's only 12? He looks 16. No wonder I thought he was small!
