Epenesa Declares

Kittle's jersey was the 8th best seller. That's still pretty impressive. 3rd to 8th isn't a big difference.

Yeah, for that one particular month. Mahomes probably sold a ton more in 2018, though, which would presumably limit future demand unless these people buy multiple jerseys to show their loyalty.

Do you guys wear jerseys?

If you’re over the age of 12 and wear a sports jersey that doesn’t have your son’s or daughter’s name on it, you’re a sad sack of a man.

The only thing worse than that is a grown man asking for an autograph that isn’t personalized to a minor dependent child.

@HuckFinn has several autographs and game-worn polos from Kirk Ferentz.

My son's jersey would actually have my name on it. Are there guys on here whose kids bear the names of their wives' boyfriends?

I'm probably in the minority that thinks AJE is going mid 20s. He isn't the freak athlete speed rusher that the NFL really covets. He's honestly more of a 4-3 strong side DE in the NFL. His combine will be decent, but it isn't going to "wow" like Wirfs will.

My best guess is Wirfs goes #8 to the Cardinals and AJE goes #27 to Seattle.

It might have been slightly cheesy, but that hang clean video will help Wirfs out. It created a lot of hype

Incorrect.

Your son’s jersey would have my name on it if we’re being biologically consistent...

Doubtful. We got a full DNA workup when he was born in conjunction with some umbilical cord freezing thing so he'll have stem cells in a deep freeze for the duration of his life and the chromosome count was right on the right money. No extras.

If the niners trade up, they are going corner.
Agree it's their most pressing need. Witherspoon sucks. And as good as Sherman has been he's getting longer in the tooth. I'd be surprised if regardless of if they trade up or not that's what they'll be targeting. I'm just wishful thinking over here

If one of those top flight tackles you speak of is the kid from USC, well he was abused by AJE.

You’re right it’s going to be tight. Maybe more like top 15 but you never know. I think with Wirfs a lot of people are expecting him to dominate the combine which could leapfrog him over other tackles.

No, I was thinking Jedric Willis from Alabama and Andrew Thomas from Georgia are basically Wirfs clones. Big, strong, athletic. Thomas is a 2 time Walter Camp AA.

The best pro LT prospect could be Mekhi Becton from Louisville. He's a monster who moves way to well for a guy his size. He's 6'7 370.

Wirfs is right there with them but he's going to have to test off the charts to get and stay ahead of them which he very well could do. But so could they.

Tackle is such a premium position, they'll all go high.

I agree that AJE is a 4-3 guy and that limits the teams he could be taken by. I actually think he’s going to surprise you at the combine. The reason he was a 5* had a lot to do with his track and field stuff and testing numbers.

Pass rushing is such a premium right not that I would be shocked to see him fall past 15.

He had to do what was best. It's just too much money to walk away from. But now we get to cheer for him in the NFL. I hope he has a long successful career. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk.

Go Hawks

This draft is loaded with good players. Hopefully AJ tests well. He'll need to be get in the first half of round 1 with the quality of players available.

And the crazy part is if Lawrence & Penei were draft eligible this year, they would most likely be the #1 & #2 overall picks.

You are creating snowflakes.

I'll go ahead and say it. From a fans point of view, and strictly based on football, I hate seeing our guys go top 10. Not that it isn't a good/great opportunity for them from a financial side, but I care about football and would rather see them competing for spots on contenders then battling week in and week out to win that coveted number 1 draft pick.

They're most likely going to be set for life landing anywhere in the first round. I'd rather see them rich and loving the game then filthy rich and watching the playoffs from home year in and year out.

I'm very glad we had a few years with these young men. Great to be a Hawkeye!

Ok, youngens, next stud get ready. You too shall have a chance to follow in their footsteps. Many great Hawks paving the way, on both sides of the ball
