given the schedule of 8 B10 games, I'm completely in favor of keeping the game. If the b10 goes to 9 plus a champ Game Iowa has to go to an every other year or every 3rd year rotation with ISU. Right now its good for all.

The series has run its course. It does nothing for the U of I. End the series and pick up some other opponent more worthy of our time

And, to call this game a rivalry is a joke. It can't be when it is so one-sided.

ISU would almost be totally irrelevant without Iowa on the schedule. They know it and it scares them to think Iowa would not be on their schedule.

Hmmm ... And do you think Iowa is going to go out and schedule Notre Dame, Florida, or a Tennessee? Iowa has won the last three but I don't think we can continue to call the series 'one-sided.' Maybe in the 80s and 90s it was more one-sided ... but no longer.

The series is detrimental to ISU. They need the automatic home win, more than they need to put all of their emotional eggs in the Beat Iowa basket.
Even when SpinDMC had them winning their games against Iowa, it was clear that his team spent way too much emotional energy in the process, and subsequently stunk up the ends of their seasons, afterwards.
Its a lose/lose for both programs.
State population is too small and both programs could use the OOC game to gain some traction in more fertile recruiting grounds.
End of story. End the series.
