Because they couldn't, or wouldn't try?I said no such thing.....I merely intimated Iowa would not have moved the ball downfield like Wisconsin did.

Iowa had over a minute.....Wisconsin had less than 30 seconds. Completely different.
By the way.....how did the Hawks do when they had the ball at the end of the Ohio State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota games last year? How about the Iowa State and Minnesota games this year?
Only you really understand.
All I know is....both you and dean are flying off the handle for some unexplained reason. You are making all sorts of assumptions that have no basis. Just try reading my first post....just a simple statement....nothing more. No hidden meanings...no "agenda."
Nick Toon took a pretty hard to shot to the knee on the last catch, he should of laid there on the field for an officials time out. Not only would it have given the BADgers time to set up for the last play it was a legitimate injury unlike those asshats from MSU were pulling in Kinnick this year.
And maybe I'm just busting your chops for taking a shot at Iowa football? You seem to be sticking up for poor clock management, just because they completed 2 irrelevant passes. Wisky was never going to win that game because Biels poor clock management earlier in the game.
People can rip on Bielema's clock management all they want, but at least he has a full sack. Ferentz has clock management problems on top of having no balls to go for points in various situations (usually end of half or game, eg. Ohio State in '09, Iowa State this season, etc.). When we start going for obvious 4th down opportunities, points with time and timeouts left, and not taking knees for half or OT, then maybe I'll judge Bielema's downfalls. But for now, I'd kill for a coach with the will to win, rather than coaching not to lose.
Lol at "will to win". Get over yourself.People can rip on Bielema's clock management all they want, but at least he has a full sack. Well I can't fix stupid....Biels "played to win" against Mich st. this year, and it cost them a win. If they don't lose that game, they probably don't lose to Ohio st. And they end up in the NC game over Alabama....So "playing to win" instead of playing the % cost Whisky a shot at a National Championship. You can take that dumba$$ Biels all day long.....he is nothing without Alverez anyway.....
And where did Ferentz' playing for OT against Iowa State this season and Ohio State in '09 get us? Oh yeah, 2 losses, one being for a Rose Bowl berth. We had a 1:20 left to drive the field and Ferentz ****** down his leg like always, never having the confidence in the offense to go for a W when we could just play for overtime or halftime.
You assume that "playing to win" actually leads to wins. Being too aggressive leads to as many losses as playing the odds does.
If you want to root for a super aggressive team, become a Whisky fan. Just know that playing too aggressive and poor clock management led to 3 losses for them this year. If they played more conservatively they would have played in the national championship game.
DURRRRRR!Alright, I'll just stop rooting for the team I've invested decades in and become a Wisconsin fan......wow.
Better 3 losses than our 6. Ferentz isn't only conservative on game day, but he's one of the most conservative recruiters I've ever seen. He needs to take some tips from Fran and go after top players instead of 2 and 3 stars that may or may not become competitive in the Big Ten. My point being, I'd rather our coaches be aggressive in all aspects and go out trying to reach our full potential, than lie down and hope things work out.
DURRRRRR!
KF does more with less talent than ANYONE in the country. In fact, it is what he is best known for.
Better check your stuff...he does.I'm well aware he has a great ability to develop players, but why can't he go after players that don't need 3 or 4 years to be a drastic impact on the team? I'd like to see us get some highly touted recruits once in a while.

Iowa is NEVER going to be a destination for 5 star recruits, but on occasion KF pulls in a gem or two.

How is not going 80 some yards in 30 seconds considered poor clock management?
