Ellingson and Pemsl % record watch

At current pace, Brady is at 56.3% on 3s this year, Kent McCausland has the sophomore and school record at 52.2 for a season. Brady has to make one per game to qualify by Iowa's standard. He has 27 in 24 games, so will need at least 5 more depending on post-season games. The way he's playing right now, probably won't be a problem.

Pemsl is at 62.3% on FGs, Russ Millard has the record of 60.9 in his senior season. I saw Pemsl finally cracked the top 15 in FG% in B10 play as he really padded the numbers in non-conference, but still has a chance at the record down the stretch. Still has to face Happ and MSU, but being done with Purdue helps get those bigs out of the way. The freshman FG% record is Ray Thompson at 59.7, so that would seem likely to fall.

Ellingsen just needed to see the floor more than 2 minutes....he's got his stroke coming G along nicely.

I recall when Brady was written off and expected to transfer by quite a number of people on this board. I think all of us are guilty of jumping to conclusions, except me, of course. I am really happy for Brady; and, we have him for 2 more years after this one, and that is a good thing.

There were a handful of us that wanted him to stay. I consistently said I wanted to see what he could do after he went through puberty.

Saying we're all guilty of jumping to conclusions is kinda jumping to conclusions isn't it?

Really glad that Brady didn't fall into the Oglesby shitter.
During parts of his freshman year he sure looked like that was a possibility. He's already outplayed what Oglesby contributed just during part of this year pretty much. He's been fun to watch and I'm glad I was wrong about him.
