Watched him play last night. (and several other times this year) A few weeks ago I watched him torch Webster City for 401 yards and turn around and torch Clear lake for another 350. Best HS qb I have ever seen in person. Only a Junior. I believe the family grew up Hawkeye fans. THis kid has way more athletic talent than Vandy did in HS. He has decent speed. Heard that baseball is his first love.

Yes I haven't even seen him play football but I have seen him play baseball, but I would say he is a possible low round draft pick in the MLB draft should he decide to go that route.

I think he has had some serious camping at QB. I am headed down to the dome now to watch him play again tonight. Looks like this could be an aerial battle. Heelans qb can chuck the rock pretty good too. Grinnell's defense is suspect. I think they will have a tough time against heelan. Their district (Grinnell) seemed to have been weak. However Grinnell did beat Williamsburg pretty soundly earlier this year and they are in the semi finals as well. If both can win it would be a rematch from the season opener.
Heelans Skibinski and the rest of their D-line was all over that kid he didnt have a chance. Eli and his dad both said hed never been hit like that in the paper.I hope Iowa offers the Skibinski kid from Heelan before he ends up at Arkansas, Northern Ill, North Dakota St. Plays with great emotion and he is FREAKY FAST.
