It just amazes me that an announcer could say something anywhere near that stupid. Did he think the graphics team was doing some real-time Photoshopping of every frame as it was being broadcast, to create the illusion that the monitor was showing a picture of Ed Hightower while he was watching it? Or did he think the monitor's screen was made of the same material that they used to make Sportflics baseball cards back in the 80s?

I have been watching him screw up college basketball games for more than 30 years. I have seen zero evidence to support your assertion that he has ever been a good official, let alone, really good.
 
I will miss him. He always made sure that games stayed close and exciting up until the last few seconds.

We'll agree to disagree on this one. I have also been watching for 30 years and remember when I used to hope he was doing our games. It's been quite awhile but he was really good back in the day...IMO.
 
I have no such memory. I do remember he was so bad that Lute was able to get him banned from working the Hawks for a while

In the "What have you done for me lately" conversation it's a no brainer...Good Riddance! I know we agree on this point. He definitely isn't any good these days nor has he been for some time.
