RPI is pretty much worthless at this point in the season...but here are the rankings and records of the instate teams and Big 10. This will change drastically over the next few weeks...so no need to panic...its all for fun right now.

8. Indiana 4-0
12. Iowa State 4-0
15. Minnesota 5-0
20. Penn St 4-0
40. Ohio St 3-0
50. Wisconsin 2-1
54. Michigan St 2-0
92. Drake 1-1
93. Illinois 4-1
121. Purdue 3-0
186. Northwestern 3-0
196. Michigan 3-0
216. UNI 0-2
222. Iowa 2-3

Minnesota is looking tough early on. They are going to destroy teams with small front lines. It's going to be a hell of a battle for the B10 title this season which we will be nowhere near.

Why play minnesotas game then. Take the tempo up considerably and sprint up the court and don't let their bigs get set.

Indiana has not looked good. I saw them the other day against Evansville.
Evansville was the better team for 35 of the 40 minutes.
They will be toward the bottom of the league.
Penn State will be down at the bottom as well.
The Hawks might be able to split or better with IU and PSU maybe steal one from NW. It's going to be rough to get wins for Iowa in the big ten.
It's a very deep league this year.

I'm hoping we can get 1 each from NW, PSU, and Indiana. Maybe one more somewhere along the way (an upset at home?). It's going to be tough to match 10 wins again this year...especially with a 2-3 start against some weak teams.

Colton Iverson 6'10 260 pounds actually runs very well for a guy his size. I would not call him an absolute banger but I think he can move Archie, Brommer or Cole around if need be. Ralph Sampson III 6'11 241 pounds is a guy who I think I can beat up and down the court and maybe move him around a tad easier.

I don't think Iowa wants to try to run and guy with Minnesota as they are a more athletic team that Iowa.

Other than Hoffarber I don't know if they really shoot the ball that well though.

We should win the B10/ACC Challenge easily this year. I could easily see the B10 going 8-3, even Iowa has a good shot at winning as Wake Forest is possibly the worst BCS team this year.

I prefer Pomeroy over RPI.

Here are those:

2. Ohio State
8. Michigan St
11. Purdue
13. Illinois
16. Wisconsin
32. Minnesota
47. Penn St
61. Northwestern
67. Indiana
84. Michigan
106. Iowa

I think OSU has been the most impressive team in College Basketball to date, followed closely by Duke. Let's remember though, Texas was No. 1 in December last year and ended as an 8 or 9 seed, so lot can be determined once B10 play begins.
