See what can happen when you cram this many games in such a short span?
Duke almost lost at home on Saturday against Maryland and that game came off a wee'ks worth of rest. What's the excuse there? Too much rest?
You know the difference between almost losing and losing, right?
Not judging, but I can't remember the last time fans of a blue blood stormed the court
God. Not that I don't love Gesell, but just how much better would this team be if we had Marcus Paige around? That guy is an absolute stud.
I severely dislike Dick Vitale, but I loved that even he was ripping on the UNC fans for storming the court after that win
This is stupid, and people that rip on college kids for storming the court like they should act all professional are idiots. We are talking about ~18-23 young adults here, if they want to storm the court to celebrate with their team let them. People need to STFU about it.
Its going to turn into a safety issue at some point. A player on the opposing team is going to deck a fan, somebody is going to get trampled, etc.
But that is a different issue entirely, I am sure eventually someone will do something stupid. But Vitale wants students to act like they have been there before, to act all professional about it. These are young adults let them have some fun and enjoy a big win like this.
Fans have been rushing the court for as long as I can remember, and can't say I really remember hearing much about any incidents. Guess I'm not too worried about it. I won't sit here and say there is zero risk, but if it was that dangerous, I would've thought something serious would've happened by now. Just my 2 cents.

And you have probably never heard of a college basketball player going into the first row of seating and pushing a fan until a couple weeks ago either.
Pretty sure a college football player punched a fan in the face rushing the field a couple years ago (Texas A&M maybe)?
