Duck hunting for Hawkeyes

So this may be very dumb for some of you and others may get this. I am a duck hunter and I spend my time reading and buying things that should make me a better duck hunter. I spend a lot of money on my boat and I spend a lot of money on my decoys. I scout my areas that I can hunt. I do everything that I can do...........right?

Well say I use my boat with the fancy blind and I set out 5 dozen decoys. It works and I do well. I do the same thing week in and week out and after awhile I stop getting ducks.

Now do I do the same thing thinking this is the only way?

This has to be the way I have spent the money and I have what should be the perfect setup.

Could I just set up a couple of decoys meaning maybe six and try to adjusts to what ducks have not seen from hunters?

Its hurts your pride and your scared if it will really work? You have a day that your able to hunt and produce nothing. On the other hand you may have adjusted to what the ducks have not seen and in turn tricked them.

So what Im saying is if KF and KOK changed things up would it kill them for one season? Change can be hard but right now I dont know what they have to lose. Most of you are protecting KF and somewhat KOK. KF is not going to get fired this season, but could if this happened three seasons in a row.

I think KF and KOK are good coaches that refuse to change. I think with a little change between these two we could count on 9 wins. They set everything in place but when it comes to the change of little things they do not and Iowa football suffers.

Sorry if your not a hunter and do not get this. This is how I felt about this season. You cant always count on the luck of the defense.

I am not a hunter and don't play one on TV....

So you're sayin' that if we just shake our tail feathers, use some trick plays,(decoys), watch the fowls, we could be billed as a great team and get the feather in our cap of a NC?? Are you quackers??


Sorry that was lame (duck)... Somebody else will do better. Just trying to support my fellow Coker thread....peeps.:D
 


yeah, unforgivable that these guys allow all these injuries.

unforgivable that they guide the team to 4 top 10 seasons in the past ten years.

unforgivable that the coach allows his DC to have his legs amputated IN SEASON, of all times. At least he could have waited until the marsh iced over.

These threads are lame.

Wow can you read or are you just really dumb? I didnt say the defense was the problem. Also Im just asking what would it hurt to change a little and if that change doesnt work then your right where you left off. Also why does everyone keep bringing up the past. Yes we have had good seasons but last time I checked these coaches get paid every year and I pay for season tickets every year. ONCE AGAIN I DID NOT CALL FOR ANYONE TO GET FIRED JUST ASKING THE BOARD WHAT A LITTLE CHANGE WOULD HURT? Maybe it would hurt. Maybe it would make it tough on recruits. Thats why Im asking. Also you are a dbag for saying Im blaming Norm for this year. I dont know if you could make of worse comment.
 


What I love about Duck Hunting is my smart doggy actually holds ducks up with his thumbs! Picture from my last hunt:
