This game was too close for comfort, but a win's a win. So far I think the offense has underwhelmed this year. We'll need to lean on the rushing game a lot more with McNamara being less than 100%. Having RBs that can't escape shoestring tackles doesn't help.

If they can't run block too then this won't matter, especially with Cade playing injured. It's going to be a long season if we can't establish the run game. Aside from one big play it was pathetic today.

Hearing a clown podcaster bragging up the team against UNI trying to say their D was better than Iowa’s. It’s good but it’s not Iowa.

Weber State put up 35 against that defense. I know it goes without saying, but they're clueless.

That is my fear as well. Just my gut feeling......I think Cade might have been getting some respect based off of us name and talent. But, the Iowa Offense looks the same and Cade is clearly not 100%. He has limited mobility and is throwing off his back foot.

Penn St is going to send the house and not fear him or the Iowa Offense. Could get ugly like it happened a few years ago there.

We just can't stretch the field with our WRs and we can't run block. It is hard to beat the top teams that way....even with a good defense.......and I must say.....I think this defense is good (and it has Phil Parker).....but I'm not sure it is elite this year. They are giving way up way to many passing yards.....they have been doing pretty good agains the run though. The Pick 6 was Parker Elite like though.

Our D will be elite. Our special teams will consistently deliver. Cade will be the best QB we have had in years. Yes, his health is a question, but reports are that he is close to 100% with the quad issue. We haven’t seen his big upside yet, but we will. He was 14-3 at Michigan, beat Ohio State, took Mich to the playoffs. Patience, grasshoppers. We likely lose at PSU. May be the only loss for a while. We are at #25 in the polls today.
