Very surprised he'd be out unless it was broken. I'm no doc, if it was a dislocated elbow is that something you put back in and you can continue? What else can you do to your elbow? I broke a bursa in my elbow in hs and it swelled up like a cantalope and hurt but I played through it.

the concern of a dislocated elbow = torn ligaments. depends on the severity of the dislocation.
