Honestly, you might be underselling it here.

IIRC, didn't Nelson, Steinbach and Gallery all come to Iowa as tight ends? Bob Sanders was a RB, IIRC. Hyde, Hinkel, DJK, Greenway, Hitchens, Roth, DJK, McNutt, Clark. Didn't King and/or Kroul come in from different positions, too?

Jonathon Babineaux came in as a running back, he put on some weight and muscle.

This is most often true at smaller schools, where they want to make sure the best athlete always has the ball in his hands. Bigger schools don't always have to do that to get their best players the ball. Like Keokuk or Heelan a few years ago; Wegher and James Hurt were the best athletes on those teams, but they had Vandy and McCabe to play QB.

He played at Iowa for a couple years as a walk-on. He eventually hung it up, but I think he finished school in Iowa City.

Drew was just placed in the ESPN Class of 2015 Top 300 list. 4-Star listed as Athlete. Only player from Iowa HS. He is one of just 11 players from 8 Midwestern states listed. From the Rag

Over half the players (164) hail from CA, FL, TX, GA. I believe 21 of the 300 are showing interest in Iowa.
