Drake is going to beat Iowa.

Uthoff was not "in foul trouble". His own coach fouled him out by following archaic rules.
 
Iowa had a school record 14 blocks, 3 turnovers, 18 points off Drake turnovers and Utoff sat most of the game. Jok did nothing. Baer was the mvp and Gesell stepped up. Drake played a very good game, Timmer is a stud. Iowa hardly played bad and they got the win!

Exactly. Lot of negative nellies around here. I really like the lineup with MG, AC, JU, Uhl, and Baer that Fran went with. 5 guys that can move their feet on defense and hit 3's. Jok and Woody didn't have it today and Fran was right to sit them. Drake hung around by running the clock down almost every possession and shooting pretty well from 3.
 
You are wrong! Iowa is a good team for sure. They are finding more depth to make up for the loss of Jones this year. I like what I see from Baer.
 
If you just looked at some of the stats you would think Iowa won this game easily. We had way less turnovers, a ton of blocked shots, and a lot of points off turnovers.
 
Your best player getting in foul trouble is always going to hurt. I couldn't believe how bad that 3rd foul call on Uthoff was. Then Jok having such a bad shooting night made for a close game. It was good to see Uthoff and Gesell make clutch baskets.
 
Iowa is not a bad team. They have 3 losses that shouldn't hurt them in any way and they have 2 decent wins in 8-2 marquette and 8-2 Florida state. If wichita state can finally get healthy and roll through the mvc that could become another decent win.

Having that iowa state win would have been huge for the resume but as of right now iowa is in a decent enough position for the tourney bubble at least
 
Some of you are so full of crap. It's like you know nothing about the sport. Iowa will be fine. This game was never in serious doubt. This is an NCAA tournament team.
