Draft by B1G schools

No, acctually, the thought is so defeatest and pathetic, that even as a non-Big 10 backer, I can't even say it.

"Yeah guys, sure our backs suck, but we can make them look good by using our good o-lines to run over those pathetic defenses."

Fred Russell was no elite talent. Did he rush for 1200+ yards his junior year, and 1300+ as a senior? Yes. Why? Because of our offensive line.

If you're honestly going to deny that having great offensive lines couldn't make average backs look great, then you really don't have any credibility at all.

I didn't say that the Big 10 doesn't produce good offensive linemen. Just a glance at the NFL pro-bowl roster indicates that they do.

The point here is that you guys like to think of yourselves as a good running conference, but you don't have good running backs. Your offensive linemen and running backs have much in common with the rest of the people in the midwest; Being fat and slow. However, in the NFL that seems to benefit one and harm the other.

edit: who the hell is Fred Russel anyways? The mayor of Keokuk?

You aren't all to bright are you?!?!

For the record a really quick, crude search yielded 24 NFL-Rbers from the SEC and 20 from the Big 10 and that didn't count Nebbie which would add a few more.

Typical SEC fan.

Makes last season even a tougher pill too take for sure. We have lots of talent just not performing right now.

You're the Florida fan, shouldn't you know who he is? He only gashed the Gators for 150 yards (at a 7.1 yard clip) in the Outback Bowl.

The Big Ten IS a good running conference, thanks in large part to the high quality of the offensive lines. Those guys plow the road as well or better than anyone in the country, which means that you don't have to have great running backs to put up great rushing numbers.

I can't remember the outcome of any Outback Bowl, and I live in Tampa. No one cares about the Outback Bowl. The SEC team there is ****** to be there, as are their fans, and they don't remember what happens.

I just looked at the NFL Network's list of top 2011 RBs, and only 2 of the top 32 were Big 10 alums.

100% untrue..........man do you guys make up some crazy crap. I've chatted with those so-called fans and you better darn well believe they care. They don't want to lose to a Big 10 team.....unless of course they do and then yes, suddenly it didn't matter.

That's called sour grapes and a losers arguement. Something 12 year olds typically do.

Yeah, well a guy from the NY Times says that he doesn't have any SEC RB in his top 10.

See, I can play that game too.
