She was an exemplary role model. She will be missed. Not blessed with an easy life.

I had the good fortune to sit down with Dr. Grant in her office in the Field House back in the late '90s for a story on Title IX for the Press-Citizen.

I spent at least an hour asking question but mostly listening to her. She was brilliant and a pioneer, one whose legacy is not celebrated enough at UI.
