There is a very easy way to not get upset about this kind of stuff. You know it's going to happen anyway; that guys like Doyel, Todd McShay and Jesee Palmer are all going to spend the rest of the weekend saying "I told you so."
Just don't read it. Don't watch it. Don't listen to it. It's just noise - noise from members of the national media who likely haven't watched Iowa play a game all year. Think about how different the reaction would be if you replaced "Iowa" with "Florida" and "Indiana" with "Kentucky." How would the story of this game be reported then? The MSM has their darlings and teams teams that they focus on. You know who they are, and you know that Iowa isn't one of those teams, and the MSM hates the fact they're being forced to talk about Iowa in a BCS game. Hell, just this morning, Desmond Howard proclaimed on national TV that he doesn't think Iowa is that good, and his reasoing is because they're not exciting enough for him. He likes teams like TCU, and then tried to convince everyone that TCU's wins at Clemson and Utah were better wins than Iowa winning at Penn State and Wisconsin. He also brought up that some new running back for Iowa had gotten hurt. Someone named Adam Richardson. He said this twice, about 45 minutes apart. You would thought someone in the truck would have corrected him the first time.
In the end, it doesn't matter. Iowa played arguably their worst 3 quarters in 2 or 3 years and still ended up winning the game going away. They're undefeated, and alone on top of the Big 10. If they win the Big 10, they're in the Rose Bowl regardless of where they finish up in the final BCS standings.
