They've ironically become a better basketball program as they've improved steadily under Miles. Improved areana, facilities have helped. So have Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, who have fallen behind them as basketball programs.

The only reason they are in the BIG is for their football program and it’s dwindling national appeal. Every year the decision becomes worse and worse.

if any team needs to leave our conference is Rutgers, what a waste. They are good in women's hoops and it;s a former Iowa coach who made them great today. I can't stand having them in the conference. A big F-You Delany!!

I'm talking very recent history. I just didn't tread lightly enough. I agree Miles has to string a couple NCAA's together but I like his sense of urgency since his boss put him on notice a couple years ago, the athletes he's brought in and is still bringing in, and the way he's doing it. He's upgrading with jucos, transfers, and grad transfers.

Check back with me in about three years on whether Nebraska is still behind Wisconsin as a basketball program.

I'm ready for this season. Last year sucked a lot of life out the program. It's time to ingest some back.

Chryst looks like a hog farmer. A very successful hog farmer.

I like chryst simply because he is the polar opposite of harbaugh and fleck and that type. Not flashy or gimmicky, no attention seeking behavior, just solid football.

Agree, he just gets it done. He might be the most underrated coach in FBS.

I completely agree. I have a friend who went to Pitt when Chryst coached there. My friend used to call Pitt's football team a complete dumpster fire and it was all Chryst's fault. Of course, he still says that about Pitt's football team but not so much about Chryst.
