Don't boycott the bowl if you want to go

The hawks get a lot of good bowl games because of how well the fan base travels. If you want to go to hopefully warmer climes in late Dec-Jan then go enjoy to bowl game, do some sightseeing, relax (exept when we are on offense), get some fresh seafood.

If the hawk fans stop traveling to bowl games it will bite us in the arse someday.

If you want to boycott games next year or not buy season tickets that would make a bigger statement.

Bowl game is a good way for people who dont get to Kinnick to see a game.
 
Agreed. If you want to go, do what you want to do and go. It's your money and your vacation. Just don't ask me to loan you the money to go. You can't have it.

If you are going to the Bowl game buy the tickets through Tennessee school or through anything that doesn't support Barta
 
I will not boycott the bowl I won't be going to but will boycott the boycotting boycotters who only want to boycott the coach who wont boycott the team that we are all boycotting when we boycott the bowl.

If you want to go to this bowl game, go ahead. You won't be fitted with a scarlet "I" if you do. The unfortunate thing is that it will also show support for what is currently going on in Iowa City. Perhaps not buying a ticket this time around will affect change. For fans, there is no right/wrong answer. It's a personal choice.
 
Just in case some of you didn't know, you are still allowed to go and enjoy a warmer climate like Florida, in Dec/Jan, without going to a football game. You don't even need a passport.

The hawks should be guaranteed a certain payout by the bowl but Iowa will be lucky to break even as it is.

^^^ empty seats in Kinnick will be noticed.

The Outback bowl last year had a ton of empty seats but still a lot of hawk fans. The heavy rain didnt help.
 
Empty seats at the Bowl Game will be noticed too....I wouldn't populate a seat dressed in black and gold if the stadium was across the street....this needs to an ALL OUT BOYCOTT....you can't pick and choose situations!!!!

lightning1 was correct....go somewhere else and kick back in the warm sun....chances are you are just going to come back from Jacksonville with your head dragging anyway.

travel to Florida, if I choose to do so.

Whew, I was worried that the HN poster ban would prevent me from going, if I choose to go.
Apparently-------despite some evidence to the contrary, it's still a FREE country.

False. I was going to go to Atlantis last year, but after the awful officiating in our game against 'Nova, I flipped it up and went to Jamaica due to a boycott I recommended on the Basketball board. Atlantis had some Black Friday deals this year, but I still ain't going there, prolly going to Punta Cana instead.

Im a big fan of both programs and cant wait to see them matchup in the bowl gm. My girlfriend got me 4 tickets to the gm. Next yr hopefully I will get the chance to see a gm in Kinnick.

I think its a real good matchup. Iowa will definitely have the advantage in the trenches especially on the Dline. Tn has the advantage of having real good speed and size at WR. Both teams are about evenly matched at special teams. I think its going to come down to QB play between Jake and Dobbs. Its a hard gm to judge. I just hate that my two teams have to play each other. Lol

Correct true fans stick with their team through thick and thin. A lot of fans on this forum are NOT true Hawkeye fans.
 
True fans do not show support for the program as a whole....they need to show displeasure....it's almost a decade overdue!!!
