most teams that win the NIT go on major runs the following year...
+1LOL we haven't even won 20 games for 6 years before this season, let's drop the attitude that the NIT is beneath us. We went from sneaking into the NIT to being one of the top seeds, another step forward for the program
sorry to offend but you two posters must be real young and not understand that any post year games are benificial to our team..... its cool i was young once you can keep calling me names... welcome nit
Not young at all. Just not excited to participate in a meaningless tournament when we're good enough to be dancing. Winning just one of the two we pi$$ed away to MSU would have gotten us in. Forgive me for not sharing the enthusiasm.
Don't see playing in the nit wit being beneficial. Individual players will improve their play in offseason workouts and in the weight room.Usually true....
Any post game play, NCAA or NIT are beneficial to the team as far as experience and being rewarded for the work and pain of the season. This is the last year we go to the NIT for a while.....
The experience this year will pay off next season, you can bet on that.....
If we were good enough to be dancing, we would have won one of those games we ****** away.

Does this mean you won't be watching? If so, will you also stay off this board? (Fingers crossed). We can only hear you put down Iowa's "scrum" effort so many times.
How many even remember who wins the nit wit
More than what remember who lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
I'm excited to watch them play in any tournament because I enjoy watching them play. It's weird that someone can care so little about a team that they don't care to watch them play but then somehow care enough to post on a message board about that same team that they don't care enough to watch.
