Done Got Hooked

It's not Mack Brown's fault you think he just forgot how to coach he has a national championship and was coach of the year in 2005. I mean you have to have realistic exceptions. What does it mean when you say the game has passed Mac by.

I tried telling you guys that Texas was bad and that ISU would be able to keep the game close. I still cannot believe ISU did not run the ball again on 3rd down to keep the clock moving. I know ISU is crying over the fumble call but honestly the game should never have came down to that.

I would love to see Iowa get matched up to play Texas in a bowl game, Iowa owes them one.

I thought I read he is only 62...but he DEFINITELY looks "lost" on the sideline. If it is a case of something medical/physiological, that is sad. But....it would make it easier for all parties if he had to step away for health reasons.
Yes, he is. Surprised me when I found this out as well. He looks at least 72 to me. I just mean that there has to be something wrong for a coach to have one of the most talented teams in the country and not dominate a team like Isu.

I think Macs problem is the coaches he has under him. You can tell they are poorly coached from play calling to defensive fundamentals and a complete lack of developing the talent they have which falls on him as the head coach.

Mack Brown came out and said the run wasn't working, and I was like WHAAAAATTTTTT??? I think they Avg. over 5.5 YPC, and were running the ball at will really.

What I don't get about Texas, as they get the best players in the country. Just line up and run a pro style offense, and blow the other team off the ball and dominate the ground game....just like Alabama.

And that is why he won't be coaching there next year.

I don't want to play Texas in a bowl game. I would like to go to a good one.

lmao, I hear you there. But it is still hard to project Iowa getting a better bowl than the Texas Bowl or the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl which have B12 against the B1G matchups.

The run wasn't working at all for Texas. Where we watching the same game guys? Texas ripped off a 45 yard run on their first drive and than couldn't get more than 1 ypc the rest of the half. I think Gray averaged 2.8 ypc after his TD run.

they never committed to running the ball, that is the difference. late in the game then went to a double tight running formation. they should have stayed with it and imposed their will. please, against the clown DL....if i were mack i'd be embarrassed to say what he said about not being able to run.

Nick Saban is 61 and he looks completely the opposite........My guess is that Texas will get destroyed by Okie next week, go 7-5 and a lower tier bowl game will be his swan song.
