I have one thing to say...Texas is freaking terrible. They may be the least disciplined defense I've ever seen. Hey, Major Applewhite, here's a freaking idea for you. You should watch the other games that the team you are playing has already played. It might actually help you figure out how to beat them.
I know that has never dawned on him. You've got a big Oline and all they did the second half is throw the ball against ISU. ISU's defense can't stop third graders from crashing the ice cream store line. Maybe we should commit to the run. What a freaking moron OC.

Mack Brown came out and said the run wasn't working, and I was like WHAAAAATTTTTT??? I think they Avg. over 5.5 YPC, and were running the ball at will really.
What I don't get about Texas, as they get the best players in the country. Just line up and run a pro style offense, and blow the other team off the ball and dominate the ground game....just like Alabama.

the run didn't work? they never committed to the run, but when they did run, it seemed pretty effective. i was watching that final drive thinking - this is the drive they'll finally break out the ground and pound......at least to help chew up the clock....nope.

And yes, Major Applewhite is terrible. If Texas runs the ball 50 times, like they should have, that game looks a lot different.

I thought I read he is only 62...but he DEFINITELY looks "lost" on the sideline. If it is a case of something medical/physiological, that is sad. But....it would make it easier for all parties if he had to step away for health reasons.
