Does win at Penn State get us ranked?

Does that win get us in the top 25? We have a few votes right now and a big road win might jump us up if the chips fall the right way.

I think it would take us one or two more weeks after this win to get ranked.

If we win a really close game I think we would still be in the "others receiving votes" category and wouldn't be ranked until after we beat NW. If we win by 14+, I think we'll squeak in.
 
Gonna take a couple of more wins to crack the Top 25 ... There is obviously not a lot of respect out there right now for our Hawkeyes ... But, a win at Penn State, and then beat Northwestern at home and we might sneak in the polls.

I agree here ... Iowa would have to beat both PSU and Northwestern before we starting getting some "believers."

Of course, a sound beating of PSU could get us some attention. However, given the quality of PSU's D ... I see there being little chance of that happening.
 
I think it will take beating everyone leading up to Michigan and then beating the Wolverines to get ranked. Not alot of love out there for Iowa and the BIG which is to be expected right now.
 
Moot point. We're losing to PSU by at least 30. Did you see the way they crushed Indiana? And Indiana is a pretty good team too!
 
Iowa is not Notre Dame so they will not be ranked with a 4-1 record. How in the hell does Notre Dame receive votes with a 2-2 record??? I'd say 6-1 would be the first ranking for Iowa. No respect yet again, which is fine for now.

No way, if Iowa is 7-1 going into the Michigan game they will be ranked.
 
Noone is taking other teams into count. If we beat penn state like last year and several ranked teams lose again like this last week. Then its a very strong possibility
 
We'll pick up a fair amount of votes if we beat PSU this weekend.

PSU is picking up more votes than us in either poll.

Slim chance we come out ranked, but a win the next weekend against NW is the most likely candidate to get us ranked.
 
,if Iowa puts up a score like the did against LMU they will get in, put up a score of 21-17, they will get more votes and sit on the outside for another week, it will also depend on who loses this weekend, IMO
