Does Tim McClelland love media attention?

He seems to have a lot of opinions. He was on a few radio shows today after the "almost perfect" game last night.

I am not a fan of him, but he is one of the most respected umps in the business. And whenever the local guys wanna talk to an ump, he is obviously the first one they call. He is actually a colleague of theirs as he has his own show along with Eric Cooper every off-season when he is back in WDM. I think he comes off as kind of arrogant, but much like Jim Joyce, he is well-respected.

Oh...and while you're going "personal vendetta" on him, you left out the parts about "voted best umpire by THE PLAYERS" and well respected and liked by players, managers, fellow umpires and the league...sounds exactly like the d-bag you mentioned...

Tim Mclelland is the most highy rated umpires, or one of them, by the players, every season. He's one of the best in the game, and will be in the HOF someday.

Ive coached against Tim a few times. he was always decent and would talk baseball to anyone who walked up. Decent guy. That being said, I preferred baseball when nobody knew the umps names.
