Does the Iowa job

equate to an average mid-major job at this point?

I have been hoping that Iowa could get a guy who was an assistant at a major conference school and then did his time as a HC at a mid-major. But I am starting to think that Iowa might be considered in the same light as a mid-major job and might be relegated to hiring a mid-major coach without major league experience or an assistant from a major without HC experience.

Iowa is way down but its still a job that will pay $1.5 mil and be in the Big Ten conference. No matter how bad Iowa is this job is still better than a mid-major

Even with Iowa being down. we have to look at it like this.. we are still better than Penn St. and equal to Indiana... so take that for what it is worth.. so the job cant be that bad even though i have posted on another thread were I too Question the status of the Iowa job.

I like the thought of Scott Drew-Baylor

Better than PSU maybe but NOT better than IU. IU has national championship banners, better history and better recruiting base and great fan support still.
