Does the HC fix his problem this week?

yeah, and when did we get so sensitive to a healthy, tough, D1 college football player that is tired after a run....guys, have you ever played football? I played a lot of it and i got tired, sometimes i came out, sometimes i didn't, you act like this was a huge travesty....like we put him in danger, geez...you gotta be kidding me

Yeah MHA: I remember those old high school days too. The only team I didn't play on was kickoff coverage.

And man did I try to lobby to get on that team as well.

Al Bundy's of the world unite!

dude, i played both ways, I could make a 50 yard run and stay in the game all day long and twice on Sunday....he'll be just fine... you act like we are abusing him man...

I love it when Hawk fans complain about running backs like Coker and ARob who repeatedly get long runs. Missing the forest for the trees.

we are oh so focused on playing mccall when we have the big tens leading rusher...

+1.

You are starting to figure out Joe Hawk Fan.......

also known as the best QB is on the bench.......

Or, tear down the players and the coaches after a loss, or even after a win.....

the coach has a problem in the playing to conservative department. not in the playing Coker to much, this has been hashed and rehashed he is avg'ing 23.4 carries a game, i would like to know when and how he is to get less carries, so that others can get these carries

Bull. I don't do any of that. But I DO think we need a backup RB. Most definitely I do. Someone that can come in and spell Coker on a long drive. NFL and college teams do it all the time. After a few 5 yard runs and a 20 yard scamper (or more), you need a rest to be at full potential. If we have a guy that is nearly as good (IMO), he needs to be in there. Having a fresh back against a worn down D is a win-win. Win - Win - Win, if you will. :D

u played both ways? Not that there's anything wrong with that

most 2nd string players are better then the starter when the starter is dead tired. If mcnutt ran 5 strait deep outs he would not be our best option on the next play. Saying that does not mean i think mcnutt is not our best receiver. It's like some people think we should only play 11 guys on offense and 11 guys on defense

Because a 2nd quality back will make the Big 10's leading rusher even better!

Yeah, maybe, theres some truth to that. I can live with some touches from mccall, i just dont think we should be questioning the coaches as if they are again making another wrong decision by giving coker carries...

i understand, i understand. theres typically ample time to rest during games, tv timeouts go on forever, offensive/defensive changes, passing plays, quarter changes, time-outs, etc. Most plays are 10 seconds or less. Usually kids are complaining they arent getting the ball enough. He'll be just fine...

i think (IMO), if you have a back that can lead the Big 10 and be in the top 5 nationally with 20 carries a game...I think you keep running that kid. 20 times carrying the ball in a game is very do'able..
