Yes the B1G wants these two schools. Anything that makes another conference substantially weaker is a win.

Seems like the Big Ten wanted Texas but not Oklahoma. But I could be mistaken.

I think they really wanted USC and taking UCLA was just an ok yeah sure we'll let them come too sort of thing. It'll still be a net win $ wise. Does it look terrible that their stands are so empty? Absolutely. Does that make the conference hesitate at all at taking them? It must not have. More is still more to them
