Does Paul Rhoades step up and suspend AJ Klein?

Weak as usual Travisam. Your obsession with Iowa State is comical

Says the guy on a hawkeye board. Thanks for comin' over! Don't you have a pointless internet poll to go flood? Or perhaps you should be working on a new design for ISU's logo to send to Pollard since it will be changing again next week. I feel I've given you two solid options to being over here. The rest is up to you.

I hate Iowa State...and I still don't think it warrants a suspension. Remember when Mitch King had that dirty hit against OSU in 2006(I think it was). I don't recall that getting a suspension either. I bet he paid for it in practice. And that's the action Rhodes should take.

Many in husker nation feel this is attempted murder. It is funny that when Martin got suspended from a helmet to helmet against OSU they all complained that it was part of the game and not a huge deal. Mind the fact that people have died, been paralyzed, demonstrated neurological effects later in life due to those types of collisions.

Yet, when a ISU player cranks on a neck he should be kicked out of football. Mind the fact that, to my knowledge, nobody has died, been paralyzed, etc. from a helmet being pulled in an awkward direction. Burkhead probably doesn't even have a sore neck.

I can't wait until Nebraska is introduced to Big 10 football. Pelini will become the new Callahan.

I honestly don't remember seeing this play Saturday. I did think Gomes was a little overly aggressive with his hit on Arnaud. Not necessarily the part where he bent him backwards because it wasn't his fault that Arnaud's legs were trapped, but the part where he basically threw a forearm at his face/head before he started to bend him backwards.

and nebraska fans have gone completely off the deep end with this.

they have now posted the Klien family home address on message boards so they can harrass them personally. WOW

enjoy having this type of people in the big 10.

While that certainly should have been a 15 yrd penalty against Klein and not Legate, I don't think that it was overly dirty. Stuff like that happens in games all the time. Gomes' hit on Arnaud was not dirty either. Gomes looked to target Arnaud high, and Arnaud started falling at the same time. It was pretty aggresive, however.

As for Martin's hit, it was a clean football play. He targeted the chest of OSU's player with his shoulder, it was the OSU player who ducked his head which caused the helmet to helmet hit.

The hit which knocked Cody Green out for a couple of plays was the worst of the bunch. From the one time I saw it, the ISU player led with the crown of his helmet, and caused damage to Green.

Is it a little dirty? Probably.
Is it any worse than some other things that go on during games? Probably not.
Tempers flare during close games. I dont think it warrants a suspension from Rhoades but if the B12 front office decided to suspend players for that kind of stuff, to clean it up and send a message, I dont think it would be out of line.

It should have been an offsetting penalty. Legate's retaliation should have warranted a flag, and so should have Klein. Officials don't always catch the original offender. They ALWAYS catch the guy who reacts.
