I like the current system, and I like the idea of a dual champion. I think there can be 2 championships.

How i would do it is -
#1 - Have the current system determine the Champion as in the past.
#2 - Top 8 teams from the current system (based on points from the current system) wrestle in an 8 team tourney 2 weeks later (maybe only 1) on a Saturday - morning session quarters, early evening session semis. Next day on Sunday the Finals - and viola the Dual Champ is crowned.

This does not have to drag out several weeks with a regional and then sectional, and then the final 4. There does not have to be complicated point standings that get accumulated over the season.
