Does Erb need to go?

My main issue with Erb would be his inability to develop a second tailback over the last two seasons. Adam Robinson carried the load last season until the concussion and Coker was hurt. Last season was a little bit more understandable with injuries to Coker, Hampton and later to Robinson. This season there is no excuse. Iowa had five available options at several points through the season to steal carries from Coker. If Ferentz didn't see enough in DeAndre Johnson, Canzeri (health), Bullock (I understand he was moved to receiver) or Jason White to receive snaps in practice than I think it is no too big of an assumption to say that Erb is doing a bad job of prepping the younger players.

He is certainly not irreplaceable.

Last time I looked we only have at most 5 RBs..... so is that too many for Erb to watch?

When was the last time since Erb has took over at RB we had a RB that went thorugh all 4 yrs without any problems? There isn't any!

So we're all in agreement we want to fire Erb?

Special Teams have SUCKED since Erb was put in charge - remember when ST, under Morgan, was winning games for us? (PU '02, Outback Bowl '03) Reese Morgan was a Special Teams savant! When is the last time we blocked a punt? PSU '09? Clayborne said there was nothing called, that PSU blockers just let him through.

He's the RB position coach, he determines who sees PT and reps in practice; it is squarely on Erb that have no go-to number 2 back going into the Insight.

And I still want to know why we couldn't run Hampton on 1st and Goal from the 7 against NW in 2008 when Fitz's bounty on Green was collected.

The running backs have suffered enough;

I've been saying so for years, heck yeah, I'm down for firing Lester. Kirk covered for him all year though, so it'll never happen
