Does anyone have any faith left in KF?

Agree totally. And we all saw where the program was when Kirk took over, and how quickly he got it turned around. 1999, one win. 2002, Iowa ran the table and went to the Orange Bowl. Nuff said. Get the right guy in here and it wouldn't be an issue.

My real fear is the people who would be making the new hire. I expect we'd end up hiring some coach from the MAC that can't recruit, and the spiral would continue. That, IMO, is why a total house cleaning is needed, not just KF.
Barta needs to go, but I'm guessing he is a good fundraiser, so as long as money is coming in the door, we are probably stuck with him too.

None. I gave KF the benefit of the doubt a few years ago, made a horrible hire with GD, and since then it has been a complete disaster. His inability to change did it for me. IMHO, he's made his own bed and he can sleep in it. I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years, and next year is the 1st time I've ever considered NOT getting tickets because I know it will be the same sh*t show week in and week out.

To make ethical decisions and be a great resource for the Hawk players, yes.

To turn the program from it's downward spiral direction, no. He has lost his mojo for sure. Time to hang it up and move on. It is too bad that he cannot see it so this could be so much less impactful on the program. Firing him and paying his contract out and keeping him and watching the death march both hurt us pretty bad. I hope someone who he looks up to and is a friend of the program steps in here and has a man to man with ole KF.

I heard people defending him on the radio this morning. They use the "look what happened to Michigan" argument. Fear of making a bad hire IS NOT a good reason to keep a current mediocre or below coach with a top 10 salary.

I agree with that sentiment. I actually looked at Michigan's record and schedule and came away thinking Iowa's season this year was not far off from what Michigan produced. Michigan had conference wins over Indiana, NW and PSU. Michigan also played Notre Dame the week Iowa almost lost to Ball State. How many wins would Iowa have had with this schedule? 6..7 at the most? Not a whole lot better than what Hoke did. Hawks are a lot closer to Michigan's crap season than some may want to believe.

uhhhhh, we are talking about the same millionaire who puts his kids in section 8 housing and black lists our top receiver of all time from the NFL in DJK. Quite the contrary to his "ethical decision making" and "resources". He's a self serving "has been", who's "in it" entirely for himself, ego, and family.

I have faith that Iowa will generally be fundamentally sound and recruit, for the most part, solid young men of character. Furthermore, I have faith that iowa will try to be balanced but in doing so will have a plodding running game and off/on passing game. Generally speaking the defense will be in the top half of the conference and the offense will finish in the bottom half of the conference. I belief KF is far more comfortable killing the clock than attacking when Iowa has the ball. It seems, as Jon Miller said, that offense is an obligation for ferentz. He just does not embrace offense and as a result has a high tolerance for mediocrity.
