Dodd Ranks Top 25 Football Stadiums

eh Doesn't really matter if hes does or not, ESPN has made it their priority to pimp the SEC so it seems like every one else is crap. Rewatch a game and count how many times they say SEC in one game its rediculious. I counted 40 last year in a game that didn't feature a team from The SEC at all.

Yeah, it sucks, I b*tch about it all the time. And it has nothing to do with this thread. The SEC has some great stadiums to watch a game, plain and simple. I'd love to see a game at Florida, 'Bama, Tennessee, or LSU.

THis list is a total sham. Based on the fact that Jack Trice isn't listed proves this guy is an idiot.

Well, been to every Big 10 stadium and a few others on the list including Nebby and would have to say that it is a fair ranking. Kinnick is great for view close too the field and very loud for sure great college football atmosphere for sure my favorite for sure.

I hope they do bowl in South end zone someday would really add too stadium.

It's named after the first black athlete at ISU, who died because of injuries suffered during a game, so the history rating should be high.

you for sure?

Actually I have to agree with the 7 Jon.

While Kinnick stadium has the name, it lacks that "bigger than life" tradition... like the dotting of the I at Ohio St, Touchdown Jesus, The 12th man, etc.

Kinnick's speech is one for the ages, but I'm not sure you can incorporate it as "stadium tradition". It's a recorded message. And we only started playing it over the last few years. (I'd like to see it inscribed on his statue).

If you go to some of these other stadiums you anticipate the Dotting of the "I", the Sooner Schooner, the huge "Go Blue" banner, the 5th quarter, you see Touchdown Jesus looking down, the "rock" at Clemson. Kinnick has great tradition, but it's not top 10. At least not to an outsider.

No tradition?? Are you serious? We have the burrito bump! :)

Poll college coaches who have been to Kinnick and we're in the top 5. 9/10 tradition at least.

I don't think we'd get a bump in tradition. Our fans and atmosphere rating would probably be boosted if you polled coaches who have been here, but not tradition/history.

I'm pretty sure it was Dodd who recently rated all the pro stadiums (Lambeau was number 1) and admitted he had only been to 11 or twelve of them. Makes me wonder how many of the college stadiums he has been to.
