Remember when Tubby knew Iowa didn't have a backcourt a couple years ago and ran a full court press and just humiliated them by not releasing the pressure the entire game?
Today Iowa has the opportunity to do exactly that. Minnesota is in big trouble in their backcourt today with May, Marble, Gatens, and Cartwright in their face. Fran wasn't here to see or remember what I am talking about, but Gatens was and I am sure he has spoken.

I am anxiously awaiting tip-off to see if Iowa goes into some sort of pressing trap game early and often to see if Minnesota can handle it.

I believe Iowa wins this game today... I just can't see Minnesota being able to handle the pressure.
 
If we ever have the hosses to full court press the entire game I hope Fran does. I can't fault Tubby for taking advantage of our weakness.
 
I hate MinneCHODEa!!! It seems like the past few years theyve had our number and blew us out quite often. That stops tonight!
 
God that was brutal. One of the worst games I have ever watched, and one of the worst of Lickliter's tenure at Iowa. Minnesota's guards were ruthless and Tubby didn't call off the dogs at all.

I actually like Hoffarber's game, but he isn't a PG. Not even close. The departure of Devoe Joseph is really painful now for the Gophers.

I see Iowa winning too, hopefully they do press hard. I also think Basabe has his game ready today for Mbakwe. You tell postgame after the barn he felt (didnt say it) that he might he left something on the court vs Trevor.
 
I hope Basabe did...he is one of my favorite players...but honestly how awesome of a bball name is Mbawke....Em-Bawk-way....love that.

Bah-sah-bay is close to that though lol.
 
If Minnesota can't hit a high percentage of 3's it could be a long day for the Gophs GO HAWKS! I hope we embarass them like our Football team got embarrassed a couple months ago.

I thought about helping out Basabe by creating a facebook account close to Mbwake's name and sending out a "I am sorry" shout to his Ex-girlfriend. But I am not a Wisconsin fan.
 
BTW... this Mbwake is losing his mind over a girl from Minnesota that turned him down and needed him put on a restraining order out of fear. After being warned he sent her a message on facebook! Ended up in Jail for the night.
A girl from Minnesota turning down a dude? Really? She must not be a native of the state.
 
Tubby is a good coach. Knows when and how to take advantage of the other team's weakness. Did a good job again today by playing a zone against our "shooters".

Is Gatens not supposed to be our best 3 point option?! He took how many attempts and clanked them. He is a one dimensional player and if he cant shoot the three ball, then he doesnt know what to do out there.

Sorry I bring logic to some discussions. So, I dont understand the ISU comments. Is it because I am not a "legend" so I cant make have an opinion?

It's because you're a Cyclone fan. It's really pretty obvious.
 
Recently I said we would go 1-7 in our next 8 games - so far TRUE
Said we are not nearly as good as people think(also said we're not nearly as bad) - TRUE
Said Tubby had a great scheme against our "shooters" - TRUE
Said Gatens is one dimensional - TRUE, so far. Could improve slightly
And have also stated Fran has the right mindset, just doesnt quite have the players this year - TRUE

So where are my bogus clownie comments that would make me seem like a clown? Well I guess I have said I like Fred and think he is a great fit for ISU --my bad.
