do you ever get tired of winning big games purely because of luck? i find it comical

It takes some serious stupidity to come on a rival board and troll when your team has been outscored 96-24 the past two seasons and you have lost 4 of 5 in the rivalry the past 5 years. I'm interested to see what Frost can do, but physicality is something that typically takes time.

Your Black Shirt defense has been bent over and gang raped so many times over the past 4-5 years, that this is a really tough behavior to unlearn. Things start getting physical and they roll over and immediately put their butt in the air, so as to expedite the process. Frost's first act as Nebraska coach was the right move in my opinion. Removing the barrel of vaseline from the Husker locker room will certainly make the process more painful and should help curb the immediate submissiveness. However, once those first quarter beat downs begin, it's like Pavlov's dog, and well, the roll over just happens as it's been conditioned.

He might be the most obvious troll to ever troll, but I'll admit, it's entertaining to see how he outdoes himself each time. We need football back.

blocking the UNI field goal TWO times in a row to win... (huge game)
wisconsin QB tripping on a hand off on the 1 yard line to win and the time running out
blocking the penn state punt and recovering it for a TD and getting a saftey early in the game lol
coming from behind to barely beat purdue with beathard
losing to IL at half and blowing them out because of some questionable turnovers and them giving up
3rd and 27 ohio states best dlinemen was flagged for head to head contact(complete joke), thrown out of the game, and turned the momentum of the game back to us

The fact that the idiot OSU player totally launched himself into head to head contact and you think it was a bad call totally nullifies any threads and posts you make. Stupid stuff

Please ban this moron. What a waste of space on this board

I had hoped people would be smart and not even look at this dumbass's thread. Oh well.
Besides....this troll is a Husker fan. A HUSKER FAN! We've beaten the brakes off this dude's favorite team over the past few years. Beat the Black Skirts like rented mules! I'm pretty sure Kirk Ferentz was forced to sign a Cruel and Unusual Punishment Clause, in order to be allowed back into Lincoln, Nebraska.

First thing that comes to mind when I think of the OSU game last year was how lucky we got to squeak it out. I'm tired of that shit.
Yeah F the Ferentzs, that game was way too close for comfort! Coaching was so bad that when Stanley had a defender draped around his legs he still threw the ball - it’s time to fire KOK!

How big of a f'n loser do you have to be to regularly troll another sport's teams message boards? Seriously, never understood it.

There are probably just as many unlucky losses that you didn't mention. Here are three:

2002 ISU game. Fred Russell gets hurt right before halftime-ISU couldn't stop him all first half. It's a humid night and the ball slips out of Brad Banks' hands twice for fumbles in the second half. Iowa blows a 24-7 lead at halftime and loses.

2009 Northwestern game. Iowa is undefeated, leads 10-0 I think. Stanzi is sacked in the end zone, fumbles, NW recovers for a TD. Stanzi is injured, out for the rest of the game on a play that should have been flagged for a face mask by the NW defender. James VB simply wasn't ready to lead the team at that moment. Later, a phantom holding call on a long TD run by Iowa seals our fate.

2014 ISU game. The score is tied. ISU lines up for a game-winning FG. It is no good but Kirk calls a timeout so the kicker gets another chance. This time it's good and we lose.

There are probably others but those come to mind.

Forgot one. I wanna say the 2006 Outback Bowl. Worst officiated game in Iowa history if not college football history, with every call going against the Hawks. The two that stick in my mind are the face mask call on the Iowa receiver when replays showed it was the Florida DB who grabbed the face mask, and the infamous offside call on the onside kick Iowa had recovered which clearly showed it wasn't.

How about the 12th man on the field that almost ran over the guy who was supposed to call it? Or the horrible roughing the passer call on Hodge? The real men of genius video of it is awesome.

That game was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
Every ref and replay booth person should have been banned from ever working in sports again.

That was a rough off season for me... That was as close to destroying my TV as I've ever been

The complete list is so long, it's ridiculous. Just look at 2010 alone

Wisc converts fake punt on 4th down and another 4th down on same drive to score go ahead TD late 4Q to win by 1.

NW converts 4th down in 4Q and Dan Persa throws winning TD on same play he has season ending injury.

OSU converts 4th and 10 when Terrel Pryor scrambles for first down, OSU goes on to score winning TD late in 4Q

Iowa gives up winning TD to Ariz late in 4Q.

Iowa gives up winning TD to Minn late in 4Q.

In Iowa's 5 losses, Iowa had the lead or was tied late in the 4Q in all of them.

That's why I like the new game plan of taking care of business. Make hay when the sun shines and all that.
Yeah you will find yourself in contested battles, but if you can't figure out how to take advantage of an opportunity, that's on you.
You don't see lions letting their pray stick around any longer than necessary. They put them down as fast as possible and keep them down!

Or how about the 2015 Big Ten CCG. Iowa has 4 point lead late in 4Q and MSU goes on a ridiculous 22-play drive, converting 4th downs, and scoring winning TD with less than left.

In 2017, Iowa had a 4 pt lead on PSU and PSU scores winning TD on very last play of the game.

I could go on and on and on.
