Oh goody, the international response from someone too stupid to say something intelligent.

Agreed, if Manti made this up there is a lot to give a crap about. I believe there is too much motive for ND and Manti to say he didn't make it up and he was tricked by someone online. Think about it, at the beginning of the season most people didn't know or care who Manti was but then this whole GF dying thing came out and people were rooting for him which in turn gives him an advantage in the heisman and it gets people to watch ND football.

Complete fabrication by the unlucky leprechaun.
(Motivation unclear...I suspect Heisman votes)

If you believe anything else, you're an idiot as well.

Really.

For Notre Dame to sell its line of bullsh*t, it has to convince the world that Manti is the dumbest and most gullible person who has ever worn a football uniform anywhere. The problem is that both Manti and his father had previously told the South Bend Tribune and ESPN that they met the "girl friend" at Stanford in 2009. I think it will eventually come out that Manti knew all about the death hoax as and when it was going down.

We know that he did not attend the girl friend's "funeral." But did he send flowers, or send a sympathy card to her "parents"? Or contact her "parents or family members" at all after the alleged girl friend's "death"? Grieving persons normally do those things. Wouldn't Manti's father normally do those things?

Theory: Dude is gay and the easiest way to keep from ND girls hitting on him and hence him rejecting them for his teammates to realize he was gay was to have an imaginary girlfriend that he never had to see. COVERUP

Seriously, the guy who sits next to me at work just said this about an hour ago. Kind of makes sense.

Taking if further, may not easily be accepted in NFL.

@LennayKekua 11:31am PST: "My statement: This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but I have been told by Alabama's offense that Manti Te'o is not real."

Te'o is done for.

Manti Te'o continued to tell people his girlfriend died of cancer even after he learned it was all a big hoax ... and this is according to Notre Dame's public version of the facts.

During a news conference Wednesday night, ND Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick said ... Manti told ND officials that he first learned the whole thing was a hoax when he received a call from his GF's phone number during an ESPN award show in December ... months after she was presumed dead.

The ESPN college football awards ceremony took place in Orlando on Dec. 6 -- but just two days later, on Dec. 8, Te'o gave a statement to reporters in anticipation of the Heisman Trophy ceremony, in which he continued to perpetuate the belief that his girlfriend had died from cancer.

Te'o told reporters ... “I don’t like cancer at all. I lost both my grandparents and my girlfriend to cancer,” this according to WSBT-TV.

We now know Manti's statement wasn't true -- and by Notre Dame's own account, Manti lied.

It begs the question -- what else did he lie about?

I don't really care if he was in on it or if he got hoaxed. It's hilarious either way. The only way it isn't funny to me is if he was covering up being Gay but I don't really buy that theory myself.
