Do we want PSU or Purdue to win today?

A PSU win ups their RPI value which gives us the earlier win against them on their court more hype and shows that we were playing a tougher team than a 13 in the first round BTT as not such a bad loss.

A Purdue win makes our loss to them maybe a hint less bad in the eyes of the selection committee.

Most people who gave up on this team after UNI felt stupid after the first 3 games of the B1G. Then they (most likely the same bunch) gave up on em after the loss to Northwestern and then felt stupid just last week. Go ahead and give up on them again after yesterday, it's worked out well so far.

I actually think 6 is still in play but guessing we end on 7 as well.. 8/9 will be IMO a kicked in the nuts, that said I'm heading out to by my cup now for Selection Sunday..

No chance at a 6 after yesterday, IMO. NONE.

I'm still hoping for 7, but 8/9 seems much more likely now.

I don't really think the PSU/Purdue game matters much, if at all, as far as our seed goes.

If he's thinking what I'm thinking, it's more "who cares about this tournament" than "who cares about the Hawks." I clicked on this thread to share essentially the same thing. Will watch the championship game, but I don't care even a little bit who wins or loses until our next game.

If the ncaa selection committee gives Iowa any less than a 7 seed I will send them a very harsh letter to let them no that I won't put up with that any longer, and that I will take retaliatory steps against them. This may include refusing to purchase NCAA related apparel, and boycotting sponsors. I am just so frustrated with them after the last 3 years that I can't put up with it anymore.

I will tell you one thing. Purdue should be just as angry that we lost as we are. They need to beat a good team to get off the bubble and into the tournament. Beating pedo st does nothing for them. The only hope they have is to beat psu then beat wisconsin. Not likely.

Exactly, I won't watch another B1G tournament game except for the championship game because it's the only game on Sunday afternoon. I'll watch the ACC, SEC games, etc. The loss yesterday has more of an impact on Iowa's seeding than who wins the Purdue-Penn State match up.

Right now Joe Lunardi has Iowa as a #7 seed playing in Omaha vs VCU. Jerry Palm has Iowa as a #7 seed playing in Pittsburgh vs LSU.
