Do Proctor and Nwankpa Stay?

The first part is true- the offense is a mess in every aspect.

But that means it would take more than a few bold moves to save this season.

The players are who they are, and any coaching / scheme changes would take a while to show results. Even if KF was a "bold move" coach...

I think a QB and play-caller change, combined with a few WR getting healthy, would have a huge effect.

Is there a point where Barta being Brian’s boss because of the whole nepotism loophole step in and relieve Brian before he’s the AD that watched the ice berg get slowly closer to our titanic
Hmm.... He should have that power. Technically he does but everyone knows who the boss is and it ain't Barta.

XN will stay why on earth would he leave? He's setup to be a highly drafted pro if he sticks it out and Parker doesn't leave.

Proctor on the other hand..... Hope he stays but who'd be surprised if he changed his mind?

To deflect the nepotism issue with Brian's hiring, Barta assured fans and university employees that he would be an honest broker and that Brian would be evaluated on his merits or lack thereof.
Barta needs to find some integrity and balls, and do what he said he would do.

Already heard that several times from the student section loud and clear at the SDSU game.
I wonder sometimes what the rest of the staff thinks of Brian as OC?

Dissension amongst a coaching staff is one of the most underreported stories in sports. Especially in football, when you have position coaches striving to be coordinators, coordinators striving to he head coaches, a divide between offensive and defensive coaches and philosophies, etc., there are going to be people out for their own interests rather than whats best for the team. Alvarez' final season at Wisconsin, when he had already hand picked Bert to succeed him,was a classic example of this and off the field. Next Man Up, a book written by John Feinstein about the Brian Billick era Baltimore Ravens, chronicles mayhem about position coaches upset over certain players not getting drifted, certain players getting or not getting cut, two coordinators getting into a shouting match in the press box over play selection. With Feinstein in charge its a great read.
